Quesitons:
Do these enduro roller skis come with salomen bindings?
I am looking to equip my nordic ski team with roller skis. Coud you send me a quote to purchase roller skis with Salomen bindings for use over generally flat tarmac surfaces.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
Answer
We don't manufacture combi skis at this time. We currently have two types of roller ski. The SISU 2000 which uses salomon bindings (not included) and the Enduro which uses an integrated binding and includes the boot. I highly recommend the Enduro because it includes boot, binding and braking system. So when comparing to other brands that be sure to include boot and binding in the total price of the roller skis. Also the Enduro roller ski matches the stability of a snow ski and the boot last 10-25 years depending how much you roller ski. Where as xc ski boots only last 1-2 years. The enduro will save you thousands of dollars over its life span just in boots. We also use inline skate wheel which are easily available and inexpensive. Be sure to check wheel cost and availability when considering roller skis.
AnswerOur roller ski wheels are 50-100% less expensive
than pro skis and they wear better.

Question
What's the scoop with these roller skiis? Are they one of the
on/off road
versions? If so, I'd like to learn more. I'm sure I could sell
a pile of
them in Park City and the greater SLC area if they work.

Answer
I sell the enduro roller skis. Go to the web site www.planetxc.com
look under roller skis. I don't recommend the all terrian roller
skis if you want good skate technique. The all terrian roller
ski are not all terrian. They work ok on hard ground and rough
pavement. However, I don't recommend skiing on rough pavement
because if you fall you will be getting cut up bad. The roller
ski I manufacture have a braking system and match the stablity
of a ski. The all terrain ski don't come close to matching the
stablity of ski. The number one problem with unstables skis is
a short push with the leg and a long glide. These two bad habits
makes for slow skiers. If you have more question let me know.
We actually have made roller ski with larger wheels but I don't like how they ski. They are so much less stable than a ski that it hard to skate with good technique. I think you ski bounding is closer to skating than skiing with big wheeled roller skis. However, for classic ski they work a little better but stablity still needed for good classic technique.
Question?
Do you sell combi skis?
Answer
No we don't sell combi skis. Also there is no such thing as a good combi ski. You must decide if you want to either classic or skate on a combi ski. Because once you skate on a combi ski it will not classic well because the wheel are worn at an angle. The same goes for classic because once you classic on a combi ski it will not skate well because the wheels are to flat.
